VetRelief.pet provides accessible, quality pet healthcare through video consultations with licensed veterinarians. Whether you're a new client or an existing client of a partnered clinic, you can connect with a vet from the comfort of your home, at an affordable price point.
Are they licensed veterinarians?
Yes, all vets on VetRelief.pet are licensed and insured. You can find their license information and accreditations on each vet's profile when choosing your preferred provider.
How much does VetRelief.pet cost?
Consultations with veterinarians vary in price, typically ranging from $45 - $65 depending on the vet's experience and availability. You can browse through vet profiles and see their price-per-call before booking an appointment.
How long is a consultation?
Consultation durations vary from veterinarian to veterinarian and day to day. Doctor's input their duration per call, but generally consultations range from 15-30 minutes.
What types of pets do you see?
VetRelief.pet veterinarians will see a variety of pets; including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, small mammals like rabbits, and even large animals like horses and pigs. Read the doctors 'About me' section to see their specialties.
Can I use VetRelief.pet on my smart phone, computer, tablet?
Yes, you can access and book virtual consultations with veterinarians on VetRelief.com through your phone browser, computer, or tablet. Please make sure your device has a built in or external camera connected. VetRelief.pet utilized Zoom as our secure audio/video conferencing platform so please make sure you have a Zoom account accesible on your device.
We understand that technical difficulties can occur. If your internet connection fails during the appointment, we will try to reconnect you to the video call. If reconnection isn't possible, we can reschedule your appointment or potentially continue the consultation by phone.
How do I book an appointment?
Booking an appointment is simple! Create an account on our website, add your pet(s), tell us your pet specific concerns and/or questions, then 'Request a New Appointment' and browse veterinarian accounts and their upcoming availability. Some doctors may be listed as Available Now, while others may be available soon. You may also go through our database of veterinarians and personally request them, even if they dont have availability listed. Once your appointment request is approved, you will be alerted to Submit Payment.
What conditions can be addressed through VetRelief.pet virtual appointments?
Telemedicine/Telehealth/Teletraige/Teleconsults are not meant to replace in person veterinary care. Virtual appointments are meant to compliment in person care. Veterinarians can address a variety of common pet concerns through video consultations, including minor skin issues, allergies, urinary tract infections (early stages), behavioral questions, and medication refills. However, for complex medical conditions or emergencies, an in-person visit at a veterinary clinic might be necessary. Please be aware, without a prior physical examination by the veterinarian (VCPR) you are only seeking veterinary advice and not a diagnosis, treatment, or prescription medication. Exceptions where laws apply.
What if my pet needs medication?
Medication can be prescibed only when the doctor has established Veterinary Client Patient Relationship by a previous and recent physical examination. Some states allow veterinarians to establish VCPR through virtual means, in which case doctors may prescribe medications. Prescriptions will be filled through a thrid-party provider: We offer prescription medications through our online pharmacy partner Vetsource .
VetRelief.pet's Online Pharmacy is provided by a third-party Strategic Pharmaceutical Solutions. Inc, doing business as Vetsource (“Vetsource”) and is subject to all applicable Vetsource terms and conditions, including, but not limited to, Vetsource’s Shipping Rates and Policies. Prescriptions are shipped by Vetsource based on the shipping option selected by you when you place your order with Vetsource. Users must deal directly with our third-party pharmaceutical provider, Vetsource, regarding refunds relating to prescriptions purchased through their site.
Can I upload photos or videos of my pet for the doctor to review?
Yes, you are encouraged to! When adding your pet or updating your current complaint or reason for consultation, you may upload pictures, videos, or documents related to your pet specific concerns. Veterinarians will have a chance to review your uploads prior to accepting your request.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Please check with your insurance provider. Have them reach out to us if further information is needed.

How do I sign up to provide veterinary services on VetRelief.pet?
The signup process is easy! Navigate to 'Veterinarians: Create an account' on the homepage. Enter your login, location, license and insurance information, and About Me information. Once your account is created, please setup your account to receive payments. We've partnered with the secure payment platform: Stripe. You will need to create an account to receive payments by providing services to pet owners. Once your payment settings are approved, you may set your virtual availability and start accepting appointments.
What information is required for my profile?
To build trust with pet owners, you should include the following details in your About Me section: Veterinary school, years of experience, areas of expertise, and a friendly bio. You may also upload a clear headshot when creating your account or after creation.
How do I set my fees?
You have the flexibility to set your own consultation fees and appointment duration to control your income and cater to different client preferences. You will be asked your 'Available Now' rate upon sign up, which will be on display for pet owners consideration. You may change your rate at any time, likewise you may change appointment duration time.
What types of appointments can I conduct on VetRelief.pet?
VetRelief.pet and telemedicine in general is ideal for telehealth, telemedicine where allowed by law, general advice and teletriage. Common ailments seen on the platform include dermatology, gastrointestinal, urinary/renal, behavioral or training, and preventative care. Ultimately, you - the veterinarian - should determine whether the appointment request is appropriate for a virtual consultation. We offer prescription medications through our online pharmacy partner Vetsource
Can I upload medical records?
Yes, the platform allows secure upload of medical records, notes from your consultation, documents, etc.. to facilitate informed consultations.
How do I get paid for my consultations?
Stripe handles all payment processing, securely and directly to you. VetRelief.pet does not take any percentage of your earnings. You will receive your earnings after accepting an appointment and before your appointment start time. Please note, if no payments is submitted by the Pet Owner prior to the start time of the call, the appointment is canceled and no payment will be collected.
What malpractice insurance is required?
You are responsible for maintaining your own malpractice insurance coverage as required by your state for practicing veterinary medicine.

Participating veterinarians can set their schedules and manage appointments directly through the VetRelief.pet platform. We provide a user-friendly interface and technical support.
What malpractice insurance is required for participating veterinarians?
