The signup process is easy! Navigate to 'Veterinarians: Create an account' on the homepage.
Enter your login, location, license and insurance information, and About Me information.
Once your account is created, please setup your account to receive payments. We've partnered
with the secure payment platform: Stripe. You will need to create an account to receive
payments by providing services to pet owners. Once your payment settings are approved, you
may set your virtual availability and start accepting appointments.
To build trust with pet owners, you should include the following details in your About Me
section: Veterinary school, years of experience, areas of expertise, and a friendly bio. You
may also upload a clear headshot when creating your account or after creation.
You have the flexibility to set your own consultation fees and appointment duration to
control your income and cater to different client preferences. You will be asked your
'Available Now' rate upon sign up, which will be on display for pet owners consideration.
You may change your rate at any time, likewise you may change appointment duration time.
VetRelief.pet and telemedicine in general is ideal for telehealth, telemedicine where allowed
by law, general advice and teletriage. Common ailments seen on the platform include
dermatology, gastrointestinal, urinary/renal, behavioral or training, and preventative care.
Ultimately, you - the veterinarian - should determine whether the appointment request is
appropriate for a virtual consultation.
Yes, the platform allows secure upload of medical records, notes from your consultation,
documents, etc.. to facilitate informed consultations.
Stripe handles all payment processing, securely and directly to you. VetRelief.pet does not
take any percentage of your earnings. You will receive your earnings after accepting an
appointment and before your appointment start time. Please note, if no payments is submitted
by the Pet Owner prior to the start time of the call, the appointment is canceled and no
payment will be collected.
You are responsible for maintaining your own malpractice insurance coverage as required by
your state for practicing veterinary medicine.
